As well as this it possesses some emolliency, so it makes for an excellent addition to moisturisers and other related cosmetics, adding to its already wide range of uses. Although it is only oil soluble, when paired with an emulsifier, Cyclomethicone makes excellent perfumes, toners and sprays as it leaves skin feeling clean, dry and soft. Cyclomethicone also helps to prevent an unpleasant tacky feeling on the skin so it is best used for skin care cosmetics, however it works exceptionally well in shampoos and conditioners to prevent frizziness in humidity as well as promoting static control.
